The Newburyport City Council voted on June 23, 2026, to set the FY2027 property tax rate at $13.42 per $1,000 of assessed value for residential properties and $22.18 for commercial/industrial properties.

Exemptions & Abatements
Eligible homeowners may apply for residential exemptions, senior citizen tax deferrals, or veteran exemptions. Applications for FY2027 exemptions are available at the Assessor's Office or online at the city website. Filing deadline: April 1, 2027.
